So last year I had a hoot performing in Carnalway Church as part of the Culture Night festivities. This year I get to take part again, although in a completely different way!
I’ve been volunteering with the Past Times Community Choir for the past few months, getting to know the members, playing some accompaniment, helping out with harmonies and even doing a bit of conducting when required. The choir (directed by the wonderful Sharon Murphy) is very much an intergenerational affair but particularly caters for dementia-sufferers and their carers. It’s been so nice to be involved with them, and on the 18th of September we’ll be performing our Culture Night Jukebox in Naas Town Hall! You can find more information on the Culture Night website.
